Runny Egg Sandwich

I’m such a blonde. What happens when rain hits snow? It melts! I might have made the mistake of calling it slush earlier, oppstini. Instead of hopping over slush puddles on my walk to the gym, I hopped over rain puddles. Everywhere. The rain was even worse and more harsh on my walk back to work, but the workout was so good and left my muscles feeling sore.

I was craving cardio today, so I split it up between 3 cardio exercises:

  • 1.5 mile run
  • 10 minutes Elliptical
  • 10 minutes Vertical Elliptical with intervals

The vertical elliptical is easily my favorite piece of equipment at the gym. I had never seen or used one of these before joining Gold’s Gym this past summer, but it has became a staple in my workouts. When you switch the incline, you bring your legs up higher to your chest, and each incline works different areas.

There’s even a display of your legs that will light up depending on what area you’re working.

It’s awesome!

With 5 minutes left in my workout, my stomach started to growl, and I was tempted to ditch early because my lunch was the highlight meal of my day. I soldiered through the last 5 minutes while dreaming about this:

An egg and cheese sandwich. To. Die. For.

I haven’t had one of these sweet babies in what feels like a solid month, so it received a warm welcome in my tummy.

I made this last night before bed and reheated it in the microwave today. Of course it’s better eaten fresh, but it’s still just as good reheated.

For the base of the sandwich I used Flat Out Hungry Girl Whole Wheat with Flax Foldit.

I cooked two eggs and left them partially “easy” and loaded one egg with shredded cheese before sandwiching the two eggs together. This baby hit the spot!

After work I broke a monster sweat while I completed the Core Synergistic P90X workout. This is the 2nd time I’ve done it, and while I didn’t enjoy it the 1st time, I found that I really got into it tonight. My abs were burning and cursing through the core exercises.

My abs will be looking fierce on tomorrow night’s date. Errr, well, I mean my stomach will be flat? 😉

This is our nightly tradition. After I make my overnight oats he gets the container to lick and chew.

Time to go relax for this little lady!

Thanksgiving Breakfast Sandwiches & Fro-Yo Frenzy

Before my cardio-filled lunch time workout, I grabbed one of the goodies Jen snagged for me at the Head of the Charles on Saturday. I was craving something sweet and small, which led me to choose the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Larabar.

Can we please take a moment to drool over those chocolate chips that are packed into that tiny bar. Holy heavens my mouth dropped after my first bite. I’ve never tried this bar before but I will be sure to buy it in the future! The snack size was perfect to fuel my workout.

Lunch Time Workout

  • 1.5 mile run
  • 15 minutes on the vertical elliptical
  • 5 minutes regular elliptical

This was a great workout and I felt energized throughout the entire thing. In fact, I was pretty bitter that I had to get back to work. Damn responsibilities, geesh!! I had the energy of this little guy:

After a quick shower and feeling much better than I did when I woke up, I flew to the kitchen (hey, I still had all that pent up energy 😉 ) and grabbed my breakfast sandwich.

 

There’s the Jam!

 Thanksgiving Breakfast Sandwich

  • Thomas Bagel Thin “Everything”
  • 1 Egg cooked over hard
  • Shredded Cheese
  • 1 Slice of Turkey Deli Meat
  • Jam, flava of your choice

Expect to see this winner being stuffed into my mouth quite often! Plus, Thanksgiving is only 29 days away so I HAVE to get pumped for it.

 Oh yeah it’s time!

Cheesin’ Hard for that Fro!

Fro-Yo time! I’m really hoping for a little lot of red velvet action in my mouth tonight, although unfortunately I’ll be choosing more fruits than sweets for toppings since I do have to show a little skin on Saturday for Halloween. Ugh. OREOS. BUTTERFINGERS. TOFFEE. M&Ms. COOKIE DOUGH. I’ll just have to pretend that’s what’s in my fro-yo bowl.

Excuse me while Linds and I go eat fro-yo ’til we fro-up. 😉
